Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center congratulates the graduates of its Peer Support Specialist Training Program.
RALEIGH, NC— Erica Powell of Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center recently graduated from the Rural Economic Development Institute (REDI), the NC Rural Center’s flagship leadership development program. The three-month intensive training program equips existing and emerging leaders with the tools they need to tackle economic and community development issues facing rural North Carolina. Powell, RCCHC’s Practice Administrator, said: "Empowered by knowledge, I've graduated from the REDI class, ready to sow the seeds of positive change in rural communities. Here's to the next chapter of growth and impact!”
Ahoskie, NC: December 4, 2023— The Board of Directors of Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center (RCCHC) announces the retirement of its founding Chief Executive Officer, Kim Schwartz, at the end of this year. RCCHC Board Chair Deborah Morrison said: “There is no question in our minds…Kim’s leadership, vision, and support of this work will forever be a foundation we can build upon. The global COVID-19 pandemic was perhaps one of the most challenging periods healthcare institutions have experienced in modern times. Kim’s leadership and keen support of the staff was exhibited during COVID just as it has been demonstrated throughout the organization’s growth and expansion.”
